ROTTWEILERS, a small hobby kennel located in Maracas St. Joseph,
Trinidad & Tobago. My name is Nigel Ferguson and I have been involved in Rottweilers for a little over
12 years having purchased my first Rottweiler from Mr. Blaine Hosang, one of
the experienced and knowledgeable Rottweiler breeders
in Trinidad and
Tobago. After the passing of my first Rottweiler, I took a hiatus and after a
few years of not being directly involved in the breed, decided to once again
be involved. This led to my first import male out of the United Kingdom. I
subsequently imported another male from another kennel in the UK, however not
being exactly what I was looking for decided to approach yet another kennel. I
was fortunate enough to be introduced to Dave of Gouldryck Rottweilers who has an impressive stock of German bloodlines in his Kennel.
After many months of convincing Dave to part with his dogs, he eventually
capitulated, and this led to me owning four of Dave’s beautiful dogs, Rea,
Ranu, Brinn and Ghela. Dave and I have become good friends since and he
continues to advise me from time to time on this lovely breed. I must thank
Dave for giving me the opportunity to own some magnificent dogs which could
only help to improve the bloodlines here in Trinidad & Tobago.
My goal as a Rottweiler breeder is to breed dogs which have excellent temperaments, of
correct conformation, structurally sound (ie. hips, elbows, bite and eyes) and
also have excellent heads and bone substance. It is my intention to strive to
better the Rottweiler breed in my country by producing top quality Rottweilers. My dogs should be of high intelligence and be courageous and at
the same time be protective and devoted to their owners and families. My dogs
are raised with the utmost attention towards nutrition, cleanliness, exercise
and socialization and finally, they are loved as members of my family.
